The Dolič mountain hut in the Triglav Massif destroyed by an avalanche
The Tržaška Koča na Doliču (Dolič mountain hut), meeting point of stages 12 and 13 of the Red Trail and starting point of the Purple Trail has been completely destroyed by an avalanche this winter.
It will be rebuilt but this will take several years. In the meantime the Via Alpina trails are diverted via the neighbouring Koča na Prehodavcih (Prehodavci mountain hut) (please refer to the corresponding stage sheets.)
Take care - due to particularly heavy snowfall this year, until mid July the main paths of the Slovenian Julian Alps (Triglav Massif) will only be negotiable with crampons and ice axe and the necessary experience.
