On the 29th of April Michel left the French Hautes-Alpes region to begin his ten-month journey along the Via Alpina and on the walls of the neighbouring summits. Let us recall that Michel has a physical disability that he will have to live with every minute of his adventure. (See also «Over to the Via Alpinists»).
Many volunteers (walkers, alpinists, drivers, physiotherapists) will take turns at his side. Make contact if you too could take part in this challenge in a region that you know well or that you would like to discover: Michel still needs help on several dates especially drivers for his linking minibus.
First stop: the Triglav Massif in Slovenia to climb the summit, which has always been a symbol of Slovenian identity. Follow Michel daily on: www.son-art.info/ChallengeVerticalVallouiseEcrins (in French).
