At Evian on the 12 of March 2009, during the biennial conference of the Ministers of the Environment of the Alps, Via Alpina signed a new “Memorandum of Understanding“ with the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention. This agreement officializes the contribution of Via Alpina to the implementation of sustainable development in the Alps and creates a framework for the concerted actions of the two teams.
