Eibiswald
Castle, Austrian Alpine Club hiking museum, local history and Klöpfer museum, Hl. Maria parish church in the lower market area, borderland library; swimming pool, tennis courts, cinema, cafes. Eibiswald consists in the upper and lower market areas, formerly connected by a gate. In 1862, the gate was dismantled and the three-storey district court was established at the west end. The facades of the buildings mostly date back to the 19th century, although the majority of buildings are older, e.g. the "Lerchhaus" dates back to 1612 and the Simperl inn to 1664.
Scythe hammers in operation since the 16th century at the Saggau and a steel works founded in 1818 that was shut down in 1905.
