Vent
Vent is a mountaineering village, as the ascent of the Wildspitze peak, the highest mountain in Tyrol standing at 3,774m, has for many years attracted mountaineers from all over the world to the last town in the Ventertal valley. The earliest records of Vent date back to 1241. Vent has only a small skiing area and in 1980 refused to be merged with the Schnalstal valley skiing area. There are currently repeated rumours about ski connections from the Pitztal into the Ötztal valley. But the Ötztal Alps are protected by the Ötztal Alps "rest area" (nature reserve). The suspension bridge in Rofen, built by the Klotz brothers in 1964, leads over the 31m deep Rofenschlucht ravine; archaeological theme trails
