Baruffini
Baruffini (800m) is 4km from the centre of Tirano on the sunny side of Monte Masuccio, amongst well tended vineyards. A vast panorama stretches beyond Tirano, to the Adda Valley right up to the Teglio terrace and the alluvial area of Valchiosa. To be visited is the Parish Church of S. Pietro Martire (1536 enlarged in the 17th century, with carved wooden altar-pieces by M. Cogoli (1670 & 1675), adorned by an elegant three mullioned serliana window and a portal in green stone with a 1667 tympanum. It has a single nave with four lateral chapels. The path from Baruffini to Tirano follows the old mule track that led to the vineyards.
