Schröcken
Schröcken parish church, Unterboden chapel, "uf m Tannberg" alpine museum, Körbersee plant protection area. Until the 17th century, the population of Schröcken - earlier called Girsboden - had grown to over 200 people. A third of them lived in extreme conditions between 1,500 and 1,700m in altitude, and have long since moved elsewhere. Approximately in the middle, a little church was built between the scattered farmsteads in 1630, which in 1660 allowed the area to become a separate parish to that of Lech. Later renovations and additions to the old church gave today's parish church its shape.
